Norbert Modla
Norbert is the Vice President of Human Resources, Greater Asia, Becton Dickinson, a top five medical device company with the purpose of advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics, and the delivery of care. Norbert has a diverse leadership experience of 9 years. Prior to BD, he was with Acelity, as the Head of International Human Resources, leading the HR function across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East regions for the full spectrum of commercial, manufacturing and back office (SSC) functions. Norbert was with Philip Morris International (80,000+ employees) for 10 years in various regional HR leadership, Talent, Learning, and Sales Organisation Development. He spent 5 years as CHRO in JF Hillebrand Group, a midsize (1.5B EUR, 43 countries) Private Equity owned entrepreneurial service company. Norbert also spent 8+ years in various consulting roles with P&L responsibilities, as well as international projects.
Norbert has a track record in leading and supporting change at restructuring, M&A, business model, digital & culture change initiatives globally. He has led several HR transformation initiatives globally and locally transforming the function to modern, lean, agile HR via implementing digital learning, HR analytics, and HRM cloud solutions. His motivation comes from driving change to stay ahead through people, technology, learning, and passion.
